Conference Visa Information for LCTCONF Participants

Do You Need a Visa?

Visa requirements for entering South Korea vary depending on your nationality, passport type, purpose of travel, and length of stay. Citizens of some countries may enter South Korea without a visa for a permitted period, while others must obtain a visa before traveling.

Visa Types

South Korea offers several entry options depending on the purpose and duration of your stay. Conference participants may need to consider one of the following:

  • Visa-Free Entry – Citizens of eligible countries may enter South Korea without a visa for a permitted period, subject to current immigration regulations and the conditions of their entry.
  • Korea Electronic Travel Authorization (K-ETA) – Eligible visa-exempt travelers may need K-ETA approval before departure unless they qualify for an applicable exemption. K-ETA is an electronic travel authorization, not a visa. Please check the official website for current eligibility and exemption rules.
  • Short-Term Visitor Visa (C-3) – Travelers who are not eligible for visa-free entry may need an appropriate short-term visa. The specific visa category depends on the purpose of the visit, including whether the participant is attending a conference, conducting business, or engaging in another permitted activity.
  • Electronic Visa (e-Visa) – South Korea provides electronic visa applications for certain eligible categories and applicants. However, not all short-term conference participants qualify for an e-Visa, so applicants should confirm the appropriate procedure with the Korean immigration authorities or the relevant embassy or consulate.

As visa policies and entry requirements may change, please consult the official South Korean government websites before making your travel arrangements.

How long does it take to receive the invitation letter?

The invitation letter will be issued within one to three business days after we receive your request. Invitation letters will be issued upon confirmation of registration and payment of the registration fee.

Please make sure you have provided accurate personal details, passport information, and the purpose of your visit to expedite the processing.

After completing your registration for the International Conference on Leadership, Culture, and Talent Management, the conference organizers will issue an official invitation letter to support your visa application, where applicable.

The invitation letter serves as confirmation of your participation in the conference and may be submitted with your visa application to the Embassy or Consulate of the Republic of Korea in your country.

Please note that an invitation letter does not guarantee visa approval. Applicants are responsible for confirming the required documents and submitting their applications in accordance with the instructions of the relevant Korean diplomatic mission.

 

We strongly encourage you to complete your conference registration and begin checking your visa requirements as early as possible. If a visa or travel authorization is required, please allow sufficient time for document preparation and processing.
